Built out of a real need
Hi! We're Ecem and Furkan, two developers based in Switzerland. Like anyone living far from home, we often missed the simple comfort of watching something in our native language. We found ourselves constantly bouncing between streaming services, only to realize the subtitles we needed were either missing or buried. That's why we built SubMatch. What started as a personal tool to solve our own frustration is now a platform we hope will make life a little easier for the expat community and language lovers alike.

What is SubMatch?
SubMatch is a free tool that searches 20+ streaming platforms across 60 countries to find which services offer your favourite shows with subtitles or audio in your preferred language.
How does the VPN accordion work?
When a show has no subtitles or audio in your language in your country, SubMatch shows a per-country breakdown so you can find a country where it does. You can then use a VPN to access that country's library.
How accurate is the subtitle and audio data?
SubMatch is powered by the Streaming Availability API, which is updated in real-time. However, streaming libraries change frequently — always verify on the platform itself.
Which languages are supported?
SubMatch supports 100+ subtitle and audio languages including English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and many more.
